County eyes 1.9 million fire rescue training center

Warren County Board of Supervisors approved a comprehensive plan item for a 1,875,000 training center for fire and rescue staff. The project would start in 2015 with 370,000 annually for five years, then 25,000 for miscellaneous items, contingent on funding and grants such as a matching Burn Building Grant from the Virginia Department of Fire Programs.

Reliance residents press 911 sharing dispute

In Front Royal, April 21, residents from the Reliance area met to address misinformation about how 911 calls are shared between Middletown and North Warren fire and rescue. Warren County Supervisor Dan Murray Jr. brokered the meeting after months of public complaints about the split coverage along North River Road.
