Wells named to Virginia Board of Health Professions
Virginia Governor McAuliffe appointed Valley Health System pharmacist Jim Wells to the 18 member Board of Health Professions as one of five citizen members. Wells, 38 years in the field and 30 with Valley Health, serves as Director of Pharmacy for Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal and Page Memorial Hospital in Luray. He joins Regulatory Research and Enforcement committees to improve licensure standards and penalties. Patti Hershey of Winchester Medical Center was named to the Radiologic Technologist Advisory Board. Both appointments aim to support a new Virginia economy and job growth.
