Front Royal to Rename Street After Former Mayor George Banks
In Front Royal a neighborhood will dedicate a section of Scranton and Edgemont avenues as George E. Banks Avenue to honor the town’s first Black councilman and two term mayor. The Edgemont Scranton event runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with music, activities, remarks by family and officials, and a history reading.
