Woodstock acquires reaccreditation amid regional shifts
Woodstock Police Department earned reaccreditation by a unanimous Virginia standards commission vote, building on its 2018 accreditation. The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office lost accreditation after 16 years, amid offsite hazardous materials concerns and a later audit confirming all evidentiary items were in place. Mount Jackson and Front Royal departments and Warren County Sheriff’s Office are in self assessment, Strasburg P D preps, and others pursue future accreditation under a 12‑member board.
