Warren County hires staff to oversee airport
Warren County expands airport oversight by adding daily in house supervision. Jake Snider became airport superintendent about three weeks ago, with Rock Showbo of Cass Aviation LLC continuing as contracted fixed base operator. Snider and Showbo oversee operations as the county seeks a permanent employee and a new fixed base operator while updating Airport Commission bylaws to allow non county residents. The board may fill commission vacancies at the June 21 meeting.

Judge rules for Warren County in airport lawsuit
In Warren County Circuit Court Judge Dennis L. Hupp largely ruled for Rock Skowbo and Cass Aviation against pilot Nicholas Chaillan and One Team One Flight LLC. Chaillan's three count complaint claimed breach of contract tortious interference and defamation related to hangar space and flying lessons at Front Royal Warren County Airport. The judge sustained some county demurrers, dismissed one county count with prejudice, and partially sustained and partially overruled a demurrer against Skowbo Cass Aviation. Chaillan voluntarily dismissed the tortious interference claim against the county. Chaillan seeks at least 89 600 in damages for breach or 57 100 for tortious interference plus 250 000 compensatory and 100 000 punitive damages against Skowbo or Cass Aviation.
