Southern Railway pays Virginia franchise and property taxes
Southern Railway System reports 1964 Virginia taxes totaling 962 332 47 in franchise and property taxes on rolling stock intangibles and money for Southern and two affiliates. State and local 1964 taxes by the system exceed 1 647 000.
