Council mulls economic ideas in Front Royal

Front Royal Town Council will vote July 28 on endorsing a Mayor’s Economic Committee plan. The advisory group proposes a non taxing development authority, cooperation with the Virginia Small Business Development Corporation, and a Town building inspection department. Front Royal man dies in crash near Route 605

Front Royal resident Randall Craig Fix II, 25, died in a single car crash on U S 340 in Warren County about 11 40 p m Monday after overcorrecting the Honda Prelude he drove. Police say speed and loss of control were factors but alcohol was not. The wreck occurred half a mile south of Poor House Road.

House Fires in Town and County Reported

A late night kitchen grease fire on Browntown Road and an afternoon blaze on Virginia Avenue are under investigation. The Browntown incident at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday involved an unattended stove and a quick four minute response by Warren County Fire Chief Richard Mabie and crews. no occupants were inside.
