Front Royal HARTS walk surpasses goal in Coldest Night event
More than 120 volunteers braved 30 degree weather to raise over 22,000 for the Hope and Rest Temporary Shelter in Front Royal during the inaugural Coldest Night of the Year. Nichole Johns, HARTS board member, noted 24 teams participated. the shelter served 65 individuals this season and helped two find permanent housing. The walk started at First Baptist Church and looped through Royal Avenue and Sixth Street.

Desegregation Pioneers Recall Warren County High School Breakthrough
Six six years after Warren County High School desegregation, five African American students who helped break the color barrier shared experiences and the lasting impact at a Front Royal NAACP event. The Warren-Page NAACP hosted a Royal Cinemas premiere of Knocking Down Walls, a 30 minute student produced documentary, with a panel including the first graduate from the desegregation era in Virginia.
