Front Royal man charged in three bank thefts
Phillip Fincham, 22, of 518 Manassas Ave, now faces one breaking and entering count, one attempted breaking and entering, one attempted robbery, and three counts of wearing a mask to conceal identity for three theft incidents. Robert Bachelor, 83, owner of The Melting Pot in Front Royal, died Nov. 2 at his home. He opened the restaurant in April 1972 with 64 cents, turning a car wash site into a dining room by 1976. His son Elliott continues the family business with about 70 employees, noting the square sliced pizza idea born from Robert’s early inexperience. Born Oct. 21, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio, he embraced adventure from meeting Muhammad Ali to carrying the 1984 Olympic Torch.
