Woodstock firefighter charged with arson after scene involvement
Ray Boyd Kerns 36 of Toms Brook is charged with felony arson and destruction of property for a fire that destroyed an abandoned building at 402 W Locust St Woodstock. He appeared in Shenandoah County General District Court and was denied bond and faces another court date. Joe Loving said investigators reviewed surveillance video and the investigation continues.

Fatal ATV case heads to January trial
Jerrell S. Leadman Jr. 62 of Whitney Lane faces two counts of abuse of a child resulting in serious injury after a single vehicle crash at his Warren County residence on August 10, 2021. Virginia State Police found a 2007 Polaris Ranger overturned in a field and allege DUI contributed to the death of a child. The two day trial is set for January 24 and 25 in Warren County Circuit Court.

Library system ends overdue fines for most children's items
