Dougherty argued with a Chinese restaurant proprietor over a meal price. He was badly injured by a sap made from gas pipe, requiring many stitches. A second Chinese man joined, the weapon was jagged and long. Dougherty was taken to the police station for care. the Chinaman was arrested.

Threshing Machine Baron Heinze's Fire Destroys Machinery
A threshing machine owned by Adolph Heinze at the J. T. Bailley farm twelve miles northwest of Minot was destroyed by fire Saturday night. The blaze started from a hot box with straw inside. Bailley’s daughter discovered the fire after the machine had shut down earlier. Only the metal shell remained as all woodwork burned.

Auto collision at Malin street and Flrnt avenue injures none
A Ford coupe driven by the son of BH Stanvick and his mother were struck by a large touring car driven by Wm Kelley at the intersection of Malin street and Flrnt avenue Wednesday night. The Ford spun and a tire tore off. Kelley claimed the other car had the right of way. No injuries were reported.
