Ellen O'Brien born Boston October 1835 moved to New York state in 1846 married Mark Murphy in Wellsville New York. He died Lisbon North Carolina May 1902 and both are buried there. She died after six months illness and left eight children with six sons as pall bearers. Also notes on Rev Sam Jones Minot appearance and a humorous anecdote about a boy and cigarettes.

City officials credit Mayor Greenleaf for advocating safer crossings in Minot. Soo management informs Auditor Morrow three gates will be installed across Main Street Belgea Avenue and First Street with automatic operation. Glenburn Farmer Killed in Runaway
Glenburn homesteader Andrew Houswick was killed Friday afternoon when his wagon horses bolted near the Olson threshing rig ten miles east of Glenburn. Ed Johnson escaped unharmed. Houswick was thrown, struck by a wheel, and died after walking to a grain shock. His wife was at their claim forty miles north of Williston.

McCann Escapes County Jail Then Returns Before Dawn
McCann, jailed for ninety days for stealing E F Tompkins cash register, slipped from the jail yard Sunday evening. He wandered to the red light district, was treated by inmates, and returned to the county jail about two oclock Monday morning. Sheriff and deputies warned him to stay in his cell for the remainder of his term.

Ray Louckes a former Minot barber who eloped with Mrs Gillispie has been arrested in Moscow Idaho on charges of unlawfully living with her. Mr Gillispie travels to Idaho to seek Louckes return to Minot. The couple had been arrested near Williston before and released.
