Omaha Youth Dies from Plant Scald Injury
John Zeller of Omaha Neb died at St Josephs hospital from injuries after being scalded in a pit at the Consumers Power plant last week. He had been at work only that day when he jumped through a window into the pit to avoid walking around the building. His body was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery.

McGahan Injured In Automobile Accident Near Berwick
L D McGahan publisher of the Democrat and companion Harry Beal were in a hunting trip return when their car rolled over two miles from Berwick. Steering gear failure caused the crash. Beal escaped with a sprained ankle while McGahan, badly injured, was bedfast but expected to recover. Both men were taken to Berwick by train.

Bergs Auto Smashed by Engine at Soo Crossing
Taune Berg employed by Case Co narrowly escaped death when his $1890 Berg auto struck by a Soo Line train at the Parsistront crossing. He stopped within feet of the track after warning signals failed. The engine crushed the car’s front corner and bumped the rear, yet Berg escaped injury and urged the Soo to reimburse for a new car.
