Farm Home Destroyed By Fire Near Minot
The Linertz farm home four and a half miles northwest of Minot burned to the ground Tuesday noon while Mr and Mrs Linertz were away at Jos Linertz's home. Loss about 33000 with no insurance, as family belongings wedding gifts clothing furniture and a valuable overcoat were lost. The site and neighbors plan temporary lodging, with rebuilding to follow after the winter. The blaze likely started from a secure chimney at the Frank Raudish farm.

The Minor Adult Night School will meet Monday evenings in the Assembly room at the new high school. The school board approves the plan, run with Normal school and city schools, with Colton as director. Half of teaching costs are refunded from a state fund to support local adult education.

Kael Francis of Devils Lake North Dakota received his embalming license from the state board. He trained at the embalming school and earned recognition from secretary C J McGurren who urged steady progress and prompt death certificate practice. Double Funeral for Patrick Dowling and Wife
The double funeral for Mr Patrick Dowling and his wife Mrs Dowling was held at Rowan's undertaking parlors Sunday at 2 30 with Rev C Z Clifford of the Methodist church officiating. Interment followed at Rose Hill cemetery beside Dowling's drowned children. Dowling killed his wife at the home of Mrs Hilda Freebury west of the Home Hotel during a jealous fit and then shot himself. Coroner's inquest returned verdict of murder and self inflicted death. Jury: Geo Hoover Fre Almy and Henry Lynch.
