Norwegians gathered in Minot for a 17th of May Independence Day program at the opera house. Rev. Lund and Rev. Lounc hurch spoke on Norway's history and religious ties, H A Foss read a poem sending greetings from Norwegian Americans, and a fund for needy Norwegians was announced with a sizable goal. D O Bruce aged 55 and unmarried was found dead in his room in Anamoose on Thursday morning from heart failure. He weighed 382 pounds and was long a veterinarian at Anamoose. A messenger found the locked door broken in. Bruce had been dead only a few minutes. A telegram was sent to Minneapolis for his body and another arrived Saturday.
