Burlington Banker in Serious Auto Accident Near Leydecker mine
J H Werner cashier of the German American State Bank of Burlington was returning from Minot when his car collided with a Willys Knight driven by Bob Palda of Minot near the Leydecker mine west of Burlington. Both cars were damaged and Werner was briefly gravely injured before being revived and driven home. A Burlington driver, Alvin Miller, gave Werner a ride to a physician. Werner later recovered enough to be about, though he still felt shaken.
