Niece of Sheriff Scofield Dies in Wisconsin
Sheriff Scofield and Mrs. Scofield received a telegram Wednesday announcing the death of their niece Margaret Murphy at her home in Chinpewa Falls Wisconsin. She was twenty two years old. Her father, T. Murphy, a prominent figure, has visited the Minot fairs several times.

Colcord Nearly Captures His Chicken Thief
Plymouth Rock owner G D Colcord reports a six foot tall slender man entering his rear yard to steal a chicken last Saturday at nine. Colcord grabed a rock and pursued into the poultry yard but the thief escaped over the fence into the alley. Colcord warns that he is not accusing any specific man yet and notes many in the city could fit the description.
