Julius Weinribe, 27, announces April 1 opening in C A Johnson block of a well remodeled shoe shop. He pledges a complete line and strong effort to build a thriving business in Minot, describing himself as a hardworking, trustworthy young entrepreneur.
Four years after moving from Rochester Minnesota to Minot, John Weinribe built a business record with honesty and trust. He started in Ward county real estate, worked with J M Wilson's clothing and shoe store, and started his own venture. Sheriff Lee reports a remarkable dairy cow herd. Arthur L Jenkins faces insanity examination due to concerns over a woman affair. Mark Nelson arrived on foot from his farm and has upcoming fights in Edmonton and Calgary. North Dakota clover proves profitable with Mayville’s Smith farm selling 190 bushels of clover seed at 9.60 per bushel and a two bushel per acre average plus hay.
Alderman Grow resigns after moving from the sixth to the fifth ward. Terms expiring include Prescott in the first, Burke in the second, Jacobson in the third, Irish in the fourth, Briggs in the fifth. Potential candidates discussed include Prescott, Burke, Van Housen, Briggs, and others with no Sixth or Third ward candidates yet.

Secretary Alfred Blaisdell and his mother arrived from Bismarck and will stay in Minot a few days. He reports he has taken hold of his duties in good shape and is making a record for himself. Ward County’s representative, C. A. Johnson, did well at Bismarck.
North Dakota Masonic lodges prepare for a March 28 night program in the Minor lecture hall with a third degree exemplified. Honored speakers from across the state will discuss Masonry themes and a banquet will follow at the lodge rooms. Local civic figures and judges appear among the readings and musical selections.
Shelley B. Miller, formerly a Minot printer, reports the birth of a six and a half pound boy. He now makes gluette for printers, notes Chicago is no place to live, and plans to reside in North Dakota soon.
