In the Minot Mid-Winter Fair a five day cow production contest judged three heats: highest milk production, highest butterfat, and best feed economy. Nine cows entered across contests owned by Al Erb E Hustad E Miller H Monnegan and H Slocum. Awards based on relative standings across the sub contests drew strong interest from owners caretakers and visitors. Richard Teslow of Mohali notes he sails for Norway March 26 and asks that his Independent be forwarded.

Wealthy bachelor drops dead here at Wind hotel
A well known bachelor died in his room at the Wind hotel Monday night. He was older, had property including land in Minot and bank certificates, and $220 in cash and currency found on his person. Relatives in Minnesota will receive the estate. A Tioga attorney, J. T Burns, is in town on legal matters.

Wild raid nets alcohol at Pig roost behind G N hotel
A police raid on a blinded Pig building behind the G N hotel seized a dray load of whiskey and beer. Inmates, including men and women of the street, fled in panic as escapes occurred. State's Attorney Netsos filed injunctions against the Pig and a nearby alley restaurant. A raid also targeted a Prince run by Frank onl Bint street amid noisy resistance.

Suit Filed Against Village of Sawyer
The W. S. Nott Co. sues the village of Sawyer for 850 dollars over two chemical engines bought in 1910. Elks and bankers plan joint Minot Williston convention
Elks will hold their big annual convention in Minot the first week in July with exact dates to be announced. The State Banker convention will be at Williston on July 1 and 2, and plans aim to let bankers attend both events. The Elk assembly usually meets in June but dates shift this year to accommodate the bankers meeting. Minot plans a grand celebration and pageant described as the greatest ever.
