Michael Flannigan longtime Great Northern Railway official died in St Paul at noon Tuesday after stomach ulcers and a recent tooth extraction. He was about 56, served since 1882 rising from wiper to General Master Mechanic with headquarters in St Paul. Survived by wife and two sons Harold and Apple, funeral in St Paul attended by North Dakota friends and Masonic organizations.

Bottineau July 23 Hans Opdahl twenty eight son of Mr and Mrs Ole Opdatt living south of Westho was almost instantly killed when the car he drove with his brother overturned and pinned him beneath the steering wheel The brother uninjured assisted in releasing him but he died before reaching a doctor The accident occurred opposite the W Parker farm home three miles south of Westhope Minot man Louis Sitner visits Texas for ten days in Clarendon Texas He traveled Spokane Portland San Francisco Los Angeles and attended the Elks convention in Los Angeles He notes delegates from across the US Alaska and the Philippines and reports optimism and improving conditions across the country.

Estate divorce and suicide in Stanley woman case
Mrs Anna Hopp, 47, recently divorced from Wm Hopp, shot herself in the temple with a .38 revolver Wednesday after sheriff's papers relinquished her rights to the estate. She planned to depart for Minot, was found in bed with a raincoat over the body and $346 on her, husband and an accompanying driver present during the incident.

At a meeting of farmers and threshers in Vernville county at Sherwood a wage scale of 25 cents per hour for harvesting and 30 cents per hour for threshing was adopted.
