Mrs. Alice Nelson Page, owner of the Page Printerie and publisher of the Grand Forks Indemh, died at her home after a brief brain hemorrhage. Montclair farmer sentenced to twenty years in prison
John Rowland, a Ross farmer, was given a twenty year penitentiary term for shooting and killing Harry Walcott during a dispute at the Rowland home. His wife accompanied him and was freed. Witness Carl Moore said both men were on a hay wagon when horses panicked and Rowland opened fire. Moore fled as bullets whistled past. Rowland showed little emotion at the sentence.
