Paul V. McCoy president of McCoy Furniture Co announces a lease on the main floor and basement of Frank Anderson's block opposite the Federal building. The 60 foot wide storefront will house the furniture store with rapid renovation to the second story, opening on or before September 1. McCoy and manager J C Cookney head to Chicago to buy stock, with plans to visit Grand Rapids.

Equity leader George Loftus dies in St Paul at 43
George 8 Loftus sales manager of the Equity Co operative Exchange died at his sister's home in St Paul after a year long illness cancer of the bowels the cause. Born in Wisconsin he had been a leading rate expert for railroads before joining Equity in 1912 and traveling North Dakota as a salesman. He leaves a wife three daughters and a son. Funeral held Wednesday at 2 pm with many northwest friends in attendance.
