Miss Jessie Goodwater an eighteen year old girl died by suicide on her father's farm in a tent near Minot after fear of losing a lover. The girl coaxed her sister to witness the act and used a single barrel gun placed with a wheel spoke to trigger the shot. The coroner and authorities were notified and burial followed. Infant's Body Found Buried In Ground At Home
While digging a post hole on Third avenue Wednesday L P Weatherwax discovered a small coffin buried about two feet beneath the surface. Neighbors helped search and found the remains of a young child perhaps months old wrapped in decayed cloth. The body may have been buried five years or more. Weatherwax notified authorities and an investigation may follow.
