Nearly eighty curlers attended a 10:30 PM oyster supper at Manson's Tea Rooms after a recent bonspiel. The event settled a debt, with the victors receiving payment from the vanquished. Teams led by A A Robinson and J G Smallwood faced off, Smallwood's rinks winning by 83 points overall. Eleven skips per side, forty four players, and business matters for the Association followed the meal, including plans to send links to the Moose Jaw bonspiel.

Tragic Death On Great Northern Tracks At Minot
Hans Christian Hansen aged 40 a Minot resident since 1901 was instantly killed when a switch engine backing west caught him and split his body in two on the Great Northern tracks near the Minot flour mill. He and partner Severt Hanger had been repairing a G N line and stepped onto another truck as a weight train arrived. The coroner's inquest ruled death by being run over. Funeral set for Saturday at 2 pm with Minot Lodge 451 I O O F in charge. burial at Hanes cemetery. Survived by wife and six year old daughter. Born in Denmark he came to America at 17, living in River Falls Wis and Hammond Wis before moving to North Dakota. He was a bridge carrier for G N and well regarded by the community.

President Chase of Union National Fire Insurance Co of Pittsburgh was arrested at Glenburn on a warrant issued after a North Dakota train journey to avoid witness testimony in 120 drought damage claims against the company by Renville county farmers. Chase, found by City Marshal George Christopher, was taken to Mohall. about 140,000 dollars in claims were involved, with insurers offering a fraction of the total.
