Nelson Family Fire Claims One Life in North Dakota
Meager reports from Nelson North Dakota say Herman A. Nelsons old home burned and one of his younger children died in the blaze while another suffered serious burns. A new residence nearby was not damaged and the family planned to move back to the old home after Mr Nelson returned from the east following his fathers death. Nelson, a pioneer farmer in Nelson Valley, previously lost a large barn in a prior fire. He has served on the state Normal School board and aided Minot Normal School. Friends express deep regret.

Ambrose Olsen Dies in Iowa Railroad Accident
Ambrose Olsen, 39, former Kenmare resident and federal employee, died four weeks after a fall at Allerton Iowa that fractured his leg. He worked under the interstate commerce commission valuing U S railroads and had earlier served as a right of way agent for Soo and Great Northern lines in North Dakota. He died from a brain blood clot after initial surgery in Des Moines and was buried in Bowman beside his father A M Olsen.

Sister Dies in New Brunswick Woodstock Woman Passes Away at Home
Mrs. Nelson Hillman of Woodstock New Brunswick sister of Mrs. J H Tompkins and Mrs Archie Porter died Sunday night at her Woodstock home after a period of illness. She visited Minot with her father Arthur McLean about five years ago, stayed two months, and friends here mourn her loss. Mrs Tompkins had visited last fall and took her to a Portland hospital.
