Minot presents two days of entertainment and community talks on January 22 and 23 at the New High School Auditorium. The program features the Victory Quartet, harp ensemble, vocal quartets, and costumed songs along with talks by Alex Karr M H Clark and F P Mann.

Gust Anderson aged nineteen, living twenty miles south of Bowbells, shot his father K A Anderson with a Remington pump gun then hacked the body with an axe. He then shot neighbor Oscar Kallberg three times and wounded him. The elder Anderson, about 45, died after surgery in Kenmare. Gust was arrested at the Bowbells county jail after neighbors said he had been in poor mental condition. He had driven his family from the house before the attack following a long quarrel.
North Dakota readers learn of the Federated Community Life Development Association formed to boost community cooperation.
