Albert West Serves Two Years On Forgery And Theft
Albert West also known as Angelo Land, a former sailor, was serving two years in the penitentiary after forging checks on Julius Rue on Rue’s Burlington farm. He was arrested in Kathryn North Dakota after leaving the state. tattoo evidence linked him to the same man. Rue had paid for painting a silo. a duplicate and later a third forged check surfaced. Four Minot youths Beebe Miller Holcomb and Rusk were sent to the training school by a judge for theft from a Riverside Dale storehouse, clothing lockers, a meat market, and a carpenter shop.

Police raid nets moonshine and illicit equipment
Local police raided Demons and Geo Hunter at 829 Line Ave N. W. last night and seized several quarts of moonshine at each location. Officers recovered copper coils and two wash boilers used as stills. Comford and Geo sticks were arrested and jailed. Massick says the coils were to be used in his auto.
