James Scofield argues stock sickness stems from poor straw and rusted feed. Poline Harmon eight year old daughter of Mr and Mrs F A Harmon of Saline settlement north of Granville died in Minot after being brought Monday with trench mouth. Doctors later reported a severe attack of diphtheria rather than trench mouth. Buried near Granville after transport by auto hearse. Local quarantine measures likely as disease had claimed Granville children.
A child's coffin was unearthed in Hankley gravel pit near Third Avenue and rd Street. The site earlier served as a burial ground. ten or twelve bodies have been found nearby. The casket deteriorated, the body likely years old, and the grave unmarked. A wall plate bore the lines “Suffer little children to come unto Me.” The casket and remains are to be handled by the Christian church.

In the state v. J. E Harmon a fine of 10 dollars and 445 dollars costs were imposed. D. G. Mitchell faced charges of selling elevation and was fined 10 dollars. The case against Aug Morris for issuing a worthless check was dismissed after payment of the amount.
