The Minot Light and Telephone company stock is purchased by M. M. Byllesby Co of Chicago which owns plants in Fargo and Grand Forks. The new firm takes over holdings with $100 000 capitalization and possession on January 20. The deal ends a long negotiation and includes former president J. M. Davis remaining with the company.

Girl Near Death in a Flying Belt at Caldwell Elevator
In Hilendale North Dakota on December 3 a 10 year old girl daughter of Mr and Mrs Waiger of Menango was seriously injured by a revolving shaft. A gust of wind pulled her clothes into the knuckles of the tumbling rod causing her chin to strike ground with each revolution. Her mother could not free her until Robert Hatey stopped the machinery. The child suffered both legs broken above the knee and a compound fracture with an arm torn from its socket at the shoulder.
