John T. Redmond, one of three men who blew the Standard Oil safe at Valley street and Fourth avenue East, escapes Ward County Jail by sawing his cell bars with a barn saw. Hiram A. Rygmyr prominent Ward county farmer died Monday at St. cone hospital after four days illness. Born December 19 1880 in Forest City Iowa he moved with his family to Ward county years ago and later lived in Spokane before returning east. He is survived by his wife Minnie Hause and three children Chester May and 1 other. Funeral arrangements planned for Drady church. An insurance policy of 4000 was held for his family.

Memorial Plaque From King George For Edmonton Soldier
Mrs. He L. Chatfield of this city received two memorial plaques from King George in honor of her son Ernest Roy Chatfield who went to France with the Edmonton Infantry and was killed in action in October 1916 around Arras. The note from the King on private stationery accompanies the plaques. The bronze plaque bears the goddess of victory and a British lion, with the inscription He died for freedom and honor.
