An immense crowd heard Captain Roald Amundsen speak on his South Pole voyage. The Sons of Norway backed the lecture, which included lantern slides and motion pictures. Attendees from Williston, Rugby, Drake and many towns attended, and the audience applauded the map of the Fram voyage.

Prominent Farmer Gunderson Dies at 43
Prominent farmer Christ Gunderson, 43, living four miles southwest of the city, died at St. Josephs Hospital Saturday night from an inguinal hernia first noted a year ago. He had just returned from Texas with his brother and mother died recently. Remains are en route to Go tra, Oklahoma, for interment. Funeral held at First Lutheran Church Tuesday with Rev. Gallixnon officiating. Survived by three brothers Albert, Gunder, and Ole, and wife Hanna Husted Gunderson, formerly of Minnesota.

Trials Of Wae Da And McKenna End In Habeas Proceedings
Wae Da and McKenna, charged in Donnybroogh, were released through habeas corpus by Judge Leighton in county court on Wednesday and will not serve county jail terms. They were defended by Attorney Francis J. Murpi. The Adendants bond appeal was not filed on June 4, leaving seven months to the original conviction. Mrs. Chas Taylor of the south side was summoned to Peoria, Illinois, due to illness of her sister. The congressional directory’s autobiographical section notes Willam H. Murray of Oklahoma, a Democrat from Tischomingo, born November 21, 1869, describing a life of varied work and public service.

Taylor Dies From Injury In Soo Yard Incident
Dean E. Taylor yard master for the Soo died after a transfer yard accident west of the G N depot. A missing clearance bar injury and failed signaling led to his leg being crushed and amputation followed by fatal shock. He resided on Eastwood Park Third Avenue. Ole Bergen began seeding. thousands of acres in the area are being sown with good progress. Taylor and Larson formed the J B Taylor Transfer Co with offices in Citizens Bank. The firm will offer hauling, transfer, and a large warehouse.
