T Anderson, charged with the murder of banker Frank E Funk, breaks down crying as he sees the body during the proceeding. He denies the charge and claims innocence. Court records show the tragic event tied to the Slaw Bank case with ongoing testimony.
The Washburn case centers on Frank B. Funk, banker shot on his porch as he played with his children. W. P. Anderson, a bank clerk and neighbor, is held as a suspect amid claims of motive to force Funk from town. The Gjoa, Amundsen’s boat that drifted three years during his Northwest Passage voyage, is displayed at Golden Gate Park.
