The Blaisdell Bird Co sold the Skriveeth brick block on South Main Street to Due & Christianson. The Skriveeth studio remains but the Blaisdell Bird Co will not occupy the space now. The sale price was twelve thousand dollars.

Regular annual inspection of Company D in Minot armory

Inspection by Capt Sims of the 6th Infantry and Gen Peake reviewed Co D with a dinner hosted by Col Scarlett and Rev Elsworth. The drill and movements were executed with speed, Capt Sims praising Capt Person. The officers foresee Co D becoming one of the finest in the First Regiment NDNG. Possible future armory sites and rifle range inspected for Williston report.

Old Bawdy House Fire Burns in Western Minot

A frame building near the G N tracks in Minot’s western city section burned early Friday. The unoccupied house had long housed a house of ill repute and the fire was likely arson to clear the area. Strong wind aided rapid flames. it was Minot’s third fire in five days.

Contract For Transcribing County Records Awarded

County auditor reports the transcription contract let to The North Dakota Reetigraph and Abstract Co of Washburn at 36 cents per instrument for about 20000 records totaling roughly 7000 dollars.
