Bond nineteen received approval with the Federal Union Surety Company accepted as surety. The decision authorizes the bond under the established securities program. Officials cited the reliability of the union firm and the adequacy of the bond terms.
City council in regular session amended the scavenger ordinance to require all refuse to the city dump under supervision and to burn or bury animal carcasses. A new ordinance bans boys under eighteen from visiting pool and billiard halls. Bond approval for 25000 dollars secured by International Bank & Trust of Indianapolis was noted. The meeting aimed to improve sanitation and curb juvenile city evils.
Oklahoma City on May 22 Brant Kirk announced his withdrawal from the Democratic US senate nomination race citing heavy campaign costs. The council heard bids for city fund deposits and street improvements with requests referred to street and alley committees. Col. L. B. Bell, recently sworn Alderman from the Third ward, participated in council deliberations.

A Willimantic resident, after many failed remedies, credits Foley's Kidney Cure with a full recovery. Four bottles cured him of acute kidney trouble, leaving him entirely well. The note also asserts Foley's Honey and Tar is safe under the National Pure Food and Drug Law, containing no opiates.
A Democratic Congressional Committee statement by secretary Charles A. Edwards announces strong national party support for Oklahoma Democrats in the new state campaign. Twenty leading House Democrats will stump there, backing the constitution approval and a broad victory at the polls.
Davis, the bank president, denounces reports of a shortage as false and damaging. He says $10,000 disappeared and has been nearly fully accounted for after a recent examination. The cashier Quillian faces mental strain but is expected to recover and help resolve the matter.
Live Stock Market reports at Kansas City Stock Yards show quarantine supply last week at 87 car loads with prices holding, top steers at 5.10, cows 2.50 to 5.75, canners 2.50 to 2.90, and veal calves 4.75 to 5.50. General market remains firm with strong hog and sheep figures despite heavy weekly totals and weather delays affecting range cattle.
The fed stud mix shows weaker quality and slightly lower prices for the week. Run today approximately 6000 head with market strength overall. Woolled lambs 85.44, clipped 87.45, yearlings 86.35, wethers 6.15, ewes 5.75, wooled ewes 6.60, yearlings around 97.00. Some Texas wethers shipped to food lots at 4.75 to 25.00, common Texas ewes and wethers at 3.50.
Guthrie May 2 charter granted to the Empire Railway company with 615000000 capital stock. Route planned at 500 miles through Oklahoma from Osage Nation Indian Territory Colorado to New Mexico. Principal office to be in Kansas City and Granite Oklahoma. Decoration day committee seeks local singers to rehearse at Vinita Methodist church Thursday 8 p m to honor the day.
Public notice of a marshal's sale issued May 14 in the Indian Territory. The property includes a Roller Mill with improvements in Fairland, J.
