The Woman s Home Mission society met at the parsonage last Tuesday. Mrs W H Deck reported on the Norman Annual meeting and inspired plans for future visits. Cherokee District conference attendees Darrough Ballard Deck Clark and Collins praised the conference. A 21 50 collection supported the district parsonage and more funds were expected. Elder McDonald attended and offered work suggestions.

Mrs G W Hille longtime Vinita resident dies after weeks of illness at her west Vinita home. She was 64 and leaves husband and two sons Robert Hill Claremore and Davis Hill Vinita. Local church records note her 20 plus years of church service and a strong Christian life.

Bridge collapse during photo session at Wheeler Park
Mamie Wing and Mattie Doris, both 15, drowned when a bridge at Wheeler park near Oklahoma City gave way as a photographer photographed a party of girls. The incident occurred at 5 p m in the North Canadian River, with twenty feet of water and only two others rescued.
