Prof E D Cameron, a seasoned educator and former Oklahoma superintendent of public instruction under Cleveland, spoke in Tulsa and at the High School praising his nonpartisan leadership and legal background. Superintendent Masters of Tulsa extolled Cameron as the superior choice for the new state’s school system.
Mrs. Narcissa Owen, a renowned Cherokee figure in Indian Territory, visits friends in Vinita. Living in Caney, Kansas, she is nearly 75 and mother of U.S. Senate candidate Colonel Robert L. Owen, a Cherokee leader.
Tulsa World lauds Mr. Cameron as a splendid man and a Christian gentleman who has long championed Indian Territory school affairs. He is urged as the right person for state superintendent and will speak at the Vinita courthouse tonight. Louisville Courier-Journal notes President Roosevelt’s “mobile face” as a minor aside.
Hon. E. D. Cameron will speak tonight at 8 at the Court House in the U S where he campaigns for the Democratic nomination for Oklahoma superintendent of schools. He is described as an able speaker and worthy of a hearing and ladies are invited.
Cherokee citizens are notified that intermarried land designated for appraisal under the March 2 act will not be subject to allotment on May 15, 2007, as the appraisal work is incomplete. Only intermarried land now designated for appraisal will be eligible on May 15. Brepy, Com.
The Cabin Valley Mining Company, Vinita, fled incorporation papers this morning with Recorder Johnson. Officers named include J. T. Tagan as president and N. K. Warner with W. B. Chapham as directors. Guthrie, O. T., May. Edmund Brazall, Democrat, nominated at Hinckwell for senate from the district of Kay and Grant counties.
In the United States Court for the Northern District of the Indian Territory Visita area a guardianship notice announces a sale of real estate tied to Alberth Tucker and Dougherty heirs. The property lies within the Cherokee Nation Indian Territory, describing specific quarters, townships, and ranges with a three month note for payment and a security line at eight percent per annum. The filing names guardian and parties, with the plan to sell the estate after court order.

Prominent orator Hon Charles West is set to address residents of Vinita tomorrow night. The event aims to discuss local civic issues and community development.
Charles West of Enid Oklahoma a Democratic candidate for attorney general in the new state will address Vinita voters at the courthouse tomorrow night. He will focus on railroad freight rates monopolies and combinations arguing for lower rates and better service for farmers jobbers laborers and travelers.
The Sequoyah club will meet tomorrow afternoon with Miss Janta Hall. Full attendance is desired and members attending will be royally entertained.
