Indian Territory Press Association Meeting Recap 1888
The Indian Territory Press Association held its 1888 meeting with delegates from Cherokee Advocate Tablequeb, Independent, Phoenix and others. Officers elected included Leo Bennett president Ridge Pascal vice president and Milford secretary with a committee on by laws. The group adjourned to meet in Vinita on June 19 1888 and hosted a reception at Presbyter Mission with Muskogee citizens in attendance.

The Executive Committee of the Oklahoma Indian Territory calls a 10:00 A M meeting in Oklahoma City on May 25 1908 at Chamber of Commerce rooms to decide on calling an inter territorial delegate convention for a constitutional convention. GAR Election at Muskogee names officers for coming years
At the territorial GAR meeting in Muskogee officers were elected for the coming years. J. A. Ruse of Chickasha is department commander, Robert Rove from Talkeet is senior vice commander, Jonathan Palwer of Bartlesville junior commander, Samuel H. Smith of Muskogee assistant adjutant general, Dr. A. Griffith of South McAlester medical director, J. W. Martin of Nowata chaplain, H. Bolen of Nowata delegate to the national encampment. The 1904 encampment is set for the last Thursday in April at Miami, with a grand reunion planned for Fort Gibson July 2–4.
