Secretary Must Issue Patent to Mrs Frost for Fourty Acres
Judge Wright of the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia sustained a demurrer by counsel for Belle Frost of Mill Creek to the Secretary of the Interior's answer on mandamus to compel issuing a patent. The land adjoining Mill Creek was opened to allotments after Hitchcock refused to reserve it for townsite use. Frost claimed vesting certificates from the Dawes commission, and that the land should be a townsite. Court held the certificates gave rights and the Secretary had no discretion but to issue the patent. Frost was represented by Porter and Walker, Ardmore, and Ruppler and Merriliat, Washington, D. C.

Charles Egan Killed Along Katy Right of Way Near Town
The dead man found along the Katy right of way two miles north of town is Charles Egan. His brother Will Egan arrived in Vinita from Sedalia to bring the body back tonight. Egan, 27, single, a railroad switchman and union member, left Sedalia last week and was last heard from at Parsons while seeking work. He leaves two brothers and a sister in Sedalia. The death is a mystery. no witness to the accident. It is believed he fell from a moving train, possibly from the top of a car.
