The Harlin murder case resumed at midnight with many witnesses in court as jurors began examination. Court proceedings focused on civil matters earlier, with twenty-two new true bills reported by the grand jury, bringing total to fifty-four.
Muskogee I T June 9 William B Johnson received a message asking for men to Chickasha to aid T J Lee whose life is threatened by Chickasha gamblers. Lea was beating and injuring the gambler who had fled and returned to attack him and threaten death if officers were summoned. Officers from McAlester were requested.
The Dallas News reports Mr. Gore criticized the Democratic Party as lacking statesmanship and patriotism, contrasting it with Republicans who stand for principle. He condemned tariff policies and praised loyal allies like M. L Turner, J. S. Hogg, and Dick Bland while signaling opposition to Bryan and Hanna in Texas.
Hon. L. Turner, candidate for United States Senator, denounces circulating statements as malicious lies meant to damage his bid. He says the charges are false and reflects desperation from a defeated opponent aiming to block his denial before the primary.
