Oklahoma City Dev Y Senate inquiry hearings reveal the board of public affairs restricted bidders for state printing and power plant work. Witnesses say the state printer set terms, while the board approved up to 2500 and then refused further claims. A separate hearing covers design bids for Vinita insane asylum plans by Holnboe Construction, with four to six day deadlines given to other bidders. An unrelated post scenes note reports a white farmer vigil and threats after Governor Cruce commuted a black man's death sentence, prompting fear of retaliatory violence.

In Fort Smith Arkansas on December 1 a Black man named Simon Rogers was held by police on suspicion of assaulting Mrs Terry Cowen near Wagoner Oklahoma Sunday. Rogers says he once lived near the Cowen home but denies involvement. Sheriff Lang of Wagoner County, who brought the suspect here, says he resembles the description except for a night appearance.
In Wagoner county armed men with bloodhounds chased an unidentified negro for ten miles toward the Grand River near Fort Gibson, then abandoned the search. The previous day he attacked Mrs. Verry Cowan, injuring her head as her husband was in Muskogee. The assailant fled into timber after a struggle and alarm.
The Frisco Lines announce a new Department of Development to cover its territory from January 1, 1913. Agricultural specialists will aid farmers with demonstration farms and support across farming, dairying, horticulture, poultry, and stock farming.
Federal Judge William Pope of New Mexico ruled on Burton of Oklahoma City in a suit against Milton Parker and others involving the Howe grand of tans land inside Only home City. Burton claimed the land and sought review after the circuit court of appeals awarded the tract worth about $500,000 to the heirs of Rev. Henry Lowe, including Ed Mowe of the Mich won Globe.
Oklahoma judge considers an injunction sought by M. E. T against Tulsa to stop collecting taxes for paving North Cleveland and Cameron streets parallel to the railroad right of way. The ruling awaits later in the week as the case centers on railroad right of way and street improvements. Gatewood family ties noted with Paris Texas visit.
