Farm mortgage loan rules for Oklahoma schools

Guthrie Oklahoma December meeting of the public land commission appoints Secretary J D Marr and Attorney Hd Cassidy to draft rules for the farm mortgage loan department. Loans will begin January 15 with application blanks available by year’s start. A pamphlet will explain requirements to prospective borrowers once rules are approved.

The Oklahoma State Teachers Association held its first convention this afternoon in Tulsa. Strong resolutions were adopted protesting the sale of all school lands and urging preservation of school assets for education.

Henry Drew Dead in Vina Mayors First Marshal Passes

Henry Drew aged 64 died at the Green Hotel Sunday at 4 pm from apoplexy. Funeral services will be held there tomorrow at 2:30 pm. He was one of Vina’s oldest settlers, former mayor, and the first marshal, respected by Cherokee Nation families and the community.

Troops Ordered to Stay in California Camp

William Jennings Bryan writes to J G John of Pagbody and John Atwood of Leavenworth that he will stay out of the contest for Kansas Democratic national committeeman. Bevan reportedly backs Atwood.
