Railroads Hit With Liquor Storage Charges in Oklahoma
Guthrie Okla Dec 28 The state prohibition enforcement department says it will file suits against Iron Mountain and Katy Railroad companies in Nowata and Washington counties for storing intoxicating liquors on property. Fines up to 1000 a day may be imposed. Katy alleged to have stored liquor July 1 to December 20 and Iron Mountain July 1 to December 18, risking about 175000 per railroad. Raids at Bartlesville and Nowata prompted the action, with liquor reportedly found in cars and storehouses.
