Muskogee Oklahoma December 20 L M known as Henry Doyle a colored man formerly a bank porter and later a messenger for W E Rowsey was arrested for forgery of Rowsey names on tax sale redemption certificates. Total losses around three thousand dollars. Davis used Rowsey’s desk certificates to obtain checks made out to Rowsey, then cashed them by posing as Rowsey at banks. Arrest followed after county treasurer and bank officials noticed signature irregularities and contacted Rowsey.
