Jim Crow cars to be operated on Oklahoma railroads
Guthrie Ok Dec 18 Railroads in Oklahoma move to comply with the separate car line law. Santa Fe Rock Island Missouri Kansas & Texas and Frisco will import Jim Crow cars from Texas divisions for immediate use. At depots with two waiting rooms one will be for whites and the other for blacks. Where only one waiting room exists arrangements will be made.

Jamestown Teacher Assault Sparks Mob Presence
Maud McCrumb a 22 year old schoolteacher from Jamestown Pa was assaulted by Charles Summers a 33 year old farmer from Turnersville. Summers was captured by a posse and taken to Greenville Pa to avert threatened farmer violence. McCrumb, daughter of a justice of the peace, was walking home when the attack occurred. she screamed, attracting a farmer who raised the alarm. She suffered severe scratches and bruises and was left seriously injured.
