Shooting Scrape in Shawnee Burglary Ends with Wounding

Shawnee Oklahoma December 17 Henry Wallace a Santa Fe shop switchman was shot in the right shoulder by a burglar after a struggle in his room. The intruder removed Wallace's shoes entered the room secured small change then hid in a closet and fought Wallace before fleeing across a fence.

Murdered Kansas City grocer still at large

Mrs. Fannie Sternberg, wife of Louis D. Sternberg, grocer, died from wounds after Saturday night robbery at their small store on the outskirts of Kansas City Kansas. Sternberg was killed instantly. robbers remain at large. Officers pledge full effort to catch them.

Black Hand threat disrupts Dallas street scene
