Democrats Win in Muskogee County Office Dispute
Guthrie Oklahoma December 0 The state Supreme court ruled that Democratic officers in Muskogee were entitled to county records and offices. The decision ended disputes from a mandamus aimed at forcing District Judge King to recognize officers elected on the Democratic ticket with valid certificates. Opposing Republicans had claimed several seats, but a canvass and orders from a federal court awarded all Democratic certificates. Also noted is Mrs Ben Rose and her mother departing to Warrensburg Missouri to visit friends and relatives.

Banknotes Flood Territory as Fraud Ring Unmasked
A stranger named Whitey, later identified as Thompson, was arrested in To’clesk Fed Cook’s joint while carrying a lecter from Stephens and Company of Chicago with quotations on obsolete bank notes. The notes circulated widely, including in Muskogee, and the fraud extends to territories and a prior era Georgia and New Brunswick issues. Thompson was handed to U S authorities and Chicago police were alerted. Thos Brooks Fletcher of Cleveland appeared at the Auditorium for a Lyceum event Saturday night.
