Freedmen Convention Considers Citizenship in Oklahoma

Cherokee freedmen met in convention at Hayden to discuss citizenship. The RK H. Kerns contract from St. Louis was accepted unanimously. Finance committee lists J. B. Wilson Lenapah, M. A. Sorrel Vinita, George Preeman Mayden, Square Ward Winner. Next meeting set for Big Creek on Thursday December 13.

Pleasant Afternoon Reading Event at Orr Home

Countess Eugenia Hortinatol Dies in Nashville at 80

Nashville reports the death of Eugenia Hortinatol aged 80. She was the niece of the late Senator William B. Bate and had been decorated by the sultan of Turkey.
