Oklahoma City article reports a two hour Senate debate on whether executive sessions for gubernatorial appointments including the board of education should be open to the public. A party line vote defeated opening sessions. members argued for public access to protect transparency and inform constituents while preserving deliberation privacy.

Several motions to dismiss were overruled and others affirmed while habeas corpus relief was denied in one ex parte matter.
At the Grand December 18 an initiative lets buyers with a 1.5 dollar seat reserve a free copy of a dying novel. Exchangeable regalry coupon tickets can be used after the regular seat sale opens at the box office. Vinita theatre goers see a Christmas gift and a free book with qualifying seats.
