Pickpocketing Incident Reported in Coffeyville

Pickpocket Rob Coffeyville Kansas reports he was robbed on arrival from the M. E. and T. railroad. Brockmeyer says wallet valued near $100 and a 300 note plus two tickets vanished from his inner vest pocket as he and his wife disembarked the Katy train around 3:10 this morning. He suspects three smooth shaven men among the crowd but offers no descriptions. The American Express Company shipped a horse to Muskogee overnight replacing the previous arrival. D. H. Walker arrived from Kinnison last night and visited with the Lyman Twins.

Body of Rankin Found Near Comanche School

Lawton Oklahoma December 6 The body of D B Rankin cashier of Merchants and Planters bank who vanished last month was found by Indian boy Preston Thekahic in Cache Creek near the Comanche school. Decomposition mild due to season. watch money and papers identified him. Rankin owed the bank 3100 unsecured and his accounts were 662.03 short. He had 25000 life insurance payable to his wife and a will left property to wife and three babies. Also mentions witnesses and local notes about residents and officials.

Bank Suspends Amidst Large Cash Payout in Kansas City

The National Bank of Commerce in Kansas City closed its doors after paying out over 20 million dollars and still owing depositors about 16 million. The suspension is believed temporary as management is strong and other financial interests will assist. No funds were held by Bank Infinitas, and all Kansas City accounts have moved to other banks, so the public is not financially affected.

County Superintendents Convene for Oklahoma School Plans

Oklahoma state meeting led by State Superintendent E. D. Cameron and Governor Haskell. unions and Farmers' Union representatives back the plan to divide state school funds among counties by January 15 1908. Craig County urged to organize districts, census take, and report by December 14 1907. mass meeting December 12. election notices follow. Frisco line Monett division hinted due to water abundance.

Blood Patch at Masonic Hall Sparks Puzzlement

In Muskogee on North Second Street a large blood patch appeared at the Masonic building entrance. Tracks were found this morning. Officers Huddleston and Red Thaylor offered theories of a nasal hemorrhage or canine combat, with limited doubt about the cause. Rev TH M Moore leaves for Das Mounes Iowa tonight to join his family.
