Man in Tails Who Shot Passenger on the Santa Fe
A 32 year old boilermaker from Colorado identified by a membership certificate. Charles H. Green, was arrested in Lawrence Kansas today charged with shooting E. B. Ward of Purcell Oklahoma on a west bound Santa Fe train at Holliday. Ward was wounded in the hand and leg. Green is hospitalized in Topeka with a potential blood poisoning risk. The thief fled after the shooting and is believed to be hiding in Lawrence.

Two Negroes Hanged in Valdosta Death Row Case
In Valdosta Georgia on December 4 J G Rawlings and Alf Moore two Black men were hanged after a farm line dispute with neighbor W L Carter led to ambush shootings that killed two Carter children. Rawlings claimed his son Milton had no connection. Moore said Milton fired the fatal shot. Leonard Rawlings received a life sentence and the Rawlings brothers’ other son’s cases await board action.
